“Outstanding lawyers should engage in the active, intelligent pursuit of justice. At Wexler Boley & Elgersma, we do.”
Since joining the firm in 2010, Kara’s experience in all aspects of complex commercial litigation has helped the firm seek justice for clients across a wide spectrum of cases.
Kara’s proficiency includes all facets of complex commercial litigation. In addition, she is well-versed in arbitration, including pre-hearing case development and management, as well as the conduct of full hearings. Kara has also become extensively involved in whistleblower-false claims litigation.
Since joining, Kara represented a major packaged foods product company in a multi-million-dollar dispute with a supplier whose product caused such consumer dissatisfaction it ultimately led to the termination of a major promotional effort. Kara also represented a major pharmaceutical benefits manager in an antitrust case involving claims by an online pharmacy that the client had conspired with other major pharmaceutical benefits managers in restraint of trade. She secured summary judgment in the client’s favor.
Kara’s practice has extended beyond the four walls of Wexler Boley & Elgersma. On loan to Kraft Foods Global, Inc., out of Northfield, Illinois, Kara directly assisted the Chief Litigation Counsel for the company. She handled a variety of litigation matters, including small and large product liability claims, general commercial litigation, civil investigative demands from the Federal Trade Commission, business subpoenas, labor and employment litigation and bankruptcy matters.
